MAY ART EVENTS

I’m so excited to announce I was accepted into a couple of shows and thanks to the never-ending dedication of my lil sister (thanks buddy - ILY), I’ll also have my full hip-hop collection on display at a Supper Club! Let’s get into it:

Black Like Us Pride Exhibit

Starting May 3rd (yeah that’s tomorrow) one of the “Send Nudes” creatives will be on display at the Black Like Us Pride Exhibition, juried by Harrison Guy and The Black Arts Movement Houston. Black Like Us: is an art exhibition celebrating Black Pride and will also have the National AIDS Memorial Quilt on display in partnership with Change the Pattern. You can see my art along with other amazing local Houston artists between May 3rd - May 14th. This event is FREE to the public but you must have tickets which you can grab here. The opening reception starts tomorrow night at 7 pm.

Vino & Vinyl Supper Club

Starting May 17th all things Hip Hop will be on display at the amazing Vino & Vinyl Supper Club located in Sugarland, TX. If you haven’t been this restaurant is all the retro vibes with an in-house DJ, amazing wine, fantastic eats, and my art! As of now, I’m set to display through June 17th, so please make your way out and tell them Nicole sent you! Hip Hop art will be for sale! Meaning if you’ve had your eye on a hip-hop creative, you may want to utilize this opportunity to go see it in person and then collect.

The BIG Show | Houston  

I’ll have art at the Lawndale Arts Center for The Big Show 2023, juried by Dr. Kanitra Fletcher, June 1st - August 13th. The Big Show is an ambitious open-call juried competition of artists practicing within a 100-mile radius of Lawndale that reflects their commitment to supporting local and regional artists at various stages in their careers. Opening events will take place on Thursday, June 1st. For more info, you can visit their website here. I’ll be sure to keep you updated as we get closer.

I’m excited about all the new opportunities to get my art outside and hope to see you all at one or some of the upcoming events and shows.
