Annoucement: My First Solo Art Exhibition is set for November 15th! Reserve Your Free Tickets Now!
Because it's too hot to be outside anywhere in Houston. LOL. We have quite the lineup in June to include the following:
Caulk art will be on display at the Blue Galleries for a special open community event: I Am, a Juneteenth celebration opening June 14th with a community freedom day.
I'm excited to announce, "I Carry My Trauma In My Hair" was accepted as part of the juried art exhibition, titled: New Growth, taking place at the Art Center of Waco! New Growth is an extraordinary exhibition celebrating Juneteenth and includes the works of 14 Texas-based African American artists who creatively explored various cultural and historical contexts of Black hairstyles—from afros, to ‘cornrows’, to locs, braids, and more. The exhibition will be on display until June 26th.
"It Could All Be So Simple" was recently accepted into Jubilee: an exhibition curated by the DREAM Effect Foundation, honoring a celebration of freedom, featuring a diverse range of works from Houston artists. The opening reception will take place on June 19th from 5 pm to 7 pm, and the full exhibition will remain on display until June 28th!
We've donated some caulk art for charity, and it feels good. Next Play, New Path: The 2025 FQS Fundraising Gala, will take place on June 20th at the beautiful El Dorado Ballroom. They are still accepting ticket sales if anyone is interested in attending. Fourth Quarter Shots is a nonprofit organization founded by Courtney Dunham with a vision to provide underprivileged youth the opportunity to excel in basketball and life, regardless of their financial circumstances or background. Please come out and enjoy an elegant evening...and bid on some auction caulk art.
It's always very exciting to get art outside of Texas! "Under The Big Top" is a story of inclusion and exclusion, exploring the beauty and complexity of belonging, taking place at the amazing Greystone Gallery. The exhibition is on display until June 29th. If you're in the Pullman area, please stop by and if not, know they'll also do online purchases for those interested in the creative I have on display, Hashtag Femme.
And of course, we're still at Vino & Vinyl. Our time will come to an end (again - LOL) soon because I'll need those pieces for my November show but for now, we allow them to be seen and encourage visitors to tell Craig, the manager, TheCaulkArtist sent you!
New Art Is Being Created and art has sold! A quick look at some of my creatives leaving the studio are below. Click on any piece to learn more. The center image will take you to a heart felt YouTube about this special creative:
