DENIED GALLERY

THE ARTWORKS DENIED

In my Jill Scott voice, "I guess everything ain't for everybody...but I try".

Social media is infamous for revoking any and all things art that included a female nipple or a breast. It was a frustrating time for artists who were especially dedicated to the craft of portraiture of the human form in its most natural state.

Several beautiful creatives from multiple artists have been flagged and removed with threats of account suspension, and while, social media has evolved a little bit to allow for more "art",  the collection name remains the same. There is a mystery in denial that I often associate with women.

I have windows of obsession with female curves; hips, breasts, legs, lips, and pregnant bellies in particular.  The obsession returns from time to time reminding me to explore the female form in a unique and thought-provoking way.

I have always preferred subjective abstracts over realistic depictions of people, especially women, with the objective of evoking emotions, feelings, and sensations in the viewer. There is fear of being desensitized thanks to overstimulation in the media, digital media, and the preservation of sexual abstraction has become rare.
